Our Team
Mr. Alessandro Soddu, of the Marbre de Carrare company, is the co-owner and manager of this great and unique quarry in the world.
His other three partners in the quarry are
Mr. Carlo Marcati, Mrs. Ozlem Oz, and Dott. Adalberto Carpi, who together form a great synergy in this company,
Mr. Alessandro Soddu was born in Carrara, the world capital of marble, where he learned about this business from his grandfather and father.
He was working with his father in the family company, Vama Sas, founded in 1977.
While traveling the world, including the United States, Europe, South America, China, and Japan, he learned how to work in the marble business, and has encountered several clients from various cultures and nations, learning how to work in this industry.
He had been searching for a premium marble quarry for a long time.
After many years of research, with the help of friends, he finally found, at last, this great Calacatta Murano quarry.
Mr. Carlo Marcati has 50 years of experience in the industry as a financial expert. He started to work very young at a family metal foundry factory, managing a big team and exporting worldwide.
After that, he started in the construction industry, building and renovating villas, apartments, commercial buildings, etc.
He joined Mr Alessandro Soddu in 2005 as he was in need of the precious Calacatta Marble for some of his buildings; from that time he falls in love with the marble and decided to start this adventure with the Calacatta Murano quarry.
At the moment, he is working as Eni group parnter in Italy on renovation projects.
Mrs. Ozlem Oz has 35 years of experience as a designer and project manager.
She started very young working in the family company with a marble factory, producing marble from all over the world for luxury projects from A to Z as an interior designer and supplier
She decided to join this team as a result of good communication and feelings with the other partners.
Dott. Adalberto Carpi is a strategic financial expert with 45 years of experience.
He started to work in the insurance business, opening different offices in Milan, Parma, and other cities in Italy.
He is a financial expert, and during his first visit to the Calacatta Murano quarry, he was so happy and amazed by this great marble quarry that he decided to join our team.
